Sesame String Beans

Sesame Garlic String Bean Bowls are magical. I’ve make them all the time as an alternative to take-out and all of my kids love them. Let me repeat that one more time: ALL of my FOUR children LOVE THIS RECIPE. Sorry I was shouting there, but I’m not exactly sure this has ever happened before!

When cooking for a large family it seems like there is always someone who would rather have a pb&j sandwich then touch the dinner I have made (no matter how many likes it’s gets on IG 😂). So make these string beans and love them like we do please!

RECIPE for Sesame Garlic String Beans:

Serves 4-6

Ingredients:

1 Tablespoon sesame oil

1 Tablespoon red miso paste, or tamari

1 teaspoon maple syrup

1/3 cup water

10 cloves garlic, minced

24 oz. string beans

Instructions:

Whisk sesame oil, miso paste, maple syrup and water in a small bowl. Wash string beans and snap off ends. Heat a large pan or wok and add string beans. Then add sauce and toss well. Cover and cook a few minutes until the string beans are just tender and serve!! We like these with steamed rice + edamame. Enjoy!!
